First posted last August 12, 2013 – Last week I got an invite from Ms. Len Tienzo of CBN Asia to attend the Superbook Bida ng Pagbabago Roadshow at Robinsons Place Manila. I got too excited because I’m sure my son will enjoy it. The fact that he enjoys reading his bible with colorful pictures I know that he will be more thrilled to see it in a big screen. But some unforeseen events happened that I ended up attending alone (hubby got a hang-over from working up to 3AM and Martie catches a minor allergy).
But since I already said yes to Ms. Len and I’m quite also curious about roadshows, I decided to go and spend some ME-time which I’ve been deprived for quite some time. I took the LRT (LRT2 and LRT1) up to Pedro Gil station. I miss traveling by train and I am also one of the few people who take the pleasure and solitude of riding the train. Then I walked along Pedro Gil while reminiscing my college days, haha! We used to watch movies at Robinsons Place Manila after long and exhausting exams – if we still have money. Haha!
When I arrived at Robinsons Place Manila, I was surprised with the huge transformation from how it was years ago… but anyway; a mall is a mall… just like any other… I didn’t give much of a thought about it and proceed to my sole of purpose of going there, and that is to attend Superbook Bida ng Pagbabago Roadshow. I approached the registration and told them that I’m invited by Ms. Len and they ushered me to my seat. Everyone is busy watching The Miracles of Jesus and I cannot help but notice how good the animation is… It’s so modern and Anime’-ish… I love it and I’m sure the kids will like it too.
After that very enlightening and inspiring episode is an entertaining magic tricks and puppet show from Kuya ZAM. I specifically like the fact that he put emphasize on his tricks being rehearsed and practiced only and not an innate gift. So humble of him and the kids love him. I myself got pretty amazed, he’s good at his craft and very wholesome to his punch lines… you know what I mean.
Next are fun games hosted by Betina Carlos and Benjamin Alvis. First is fish a friend, second is Project E6:1 (my favorite) and Salvation Poem Sing-a-long. The kids enjoy the games and the prices as well.
After that is the Pledge that we all took… yes including me, to be an ambassador of change (positive change of course) to all the places that we will be in. An act that is so positive and truthfully inspiring. I commend them for including this in their program. I really hope these kids will truly be a BIDA NG PAGBABAGO.
Lastly is a Photo OP with Gizmo… so cute and so red mascot that he is, but since I’m alone I gave my pass to a friend and a fellow blogger Serene (whom I met there) and her cute daughter. We had a chance to have some chitchat while waiting for their turn and it was a very refreshing time.
After the event, I felt so recharged, I missed my son and my husband and I’m very excited to share to them everything that happened during the roadshow. I had fun! It was a very unusual way of spending ME-time but I enjoyed it. I was entertained, I was enlightened and I was recharged. Thanks CBN Asia for Inviting me to your event. I had a great time and more power to Superbook.
